Soundsmith Cartridge
Testimonials
Let's be up front about this.
The WEB. Stereo repair services. Products that
you've never heard of. An excellent recipe for paranoia.
Below are some testimonials from our customers. We
are aware that this is terribly immodest. But in an age when
far too many don't expect to get what they pay for, at The
Soundsmith we consider it our mission to provide
excellence.
We offer what many consider the best products
and repair service/warranty available anywhere.
Some of our customers may think that quality stereo
products and repair are readily available. Other customers tell
us this is not the case, relating horror stories about inferior
purchases, butchered equipment, poor service and how pleased
they are to have found The Soundsmith. Below is a sampling of
some of the kudos and accolades we have received.

Dear Mr Ledermann;
I installed the cartridge, day before yesterday and
in a trial run, thought, O.K., adequate replacement, but nothing to
get up in the middle of night and write home about. Yesterday, since
I had a gut feeling that something was wrong, I removed the 4002
from the cabinet, placed it on a level surface and got out my
trusty gram scale and measured the weight at the tip of the stylus
at 3/4 gram. According to the info sheet it ought to be 1 gram so I
adjusted accordingly and re-installed the turntable and put on one
of my original Sheffield direct to disc recordings and the
difference was awesome!
Then putting on one of the ones played the day
before brought another "experience" in audio. I'm hearing
instruments never heard before, the sound stage is rock steady and
if you really want an experience, try a mono recording of volume I
or II of the Fox Theatre Organs! Absolutely incredible! At low to
moderate volume level all of the music is there and if the organist
has a heavy foot then the musical bass will growl, roar or snap
as in the case of the snare drums. The cartridge gives new life to
an older system that has the ability but never had the correct
input, til now. I'm like a kid going thru my olde Lp recordings and
experiencing them all over again, particularly the Sheffield
recordings and some of my "experimental" discs. New 180 gram vinyls
I'll put up against my cds anytime. I can see where I'll be back to
buying Lps again!
All I can say is that if the music is in the grooves
the SMMC20CL+ cartridge will bring it out and without adding
any coloration. My system may not match the "avant garde", BUT, I've
been there and it seems to lack music! I'll take my equipment
coupled with the B&O® 4002 and that gorgeous cartridge anytime!
If I keep on I'll sound like a commercial. Installation was a breeze
and I did read the instructions first!
Thank You for a musical
experience that I can enjoy anytime, now.
Cordially Frank

SMMC20CL+ Cartridge
Yesterday I received the SMMC20CL+ cartridge I
ordered for my B&O® BeoGram® 1602 turntable, which I've owned
since 1982. I thought I'd let you know I have NEVER heard so
much music, so well integrated, from my records, even with B&O®'s
MMC20CL cartridge. I may never play a CD again.

Dear Mr. Robbins;
Your Email means very much to me; when I sit
for hours at the microscope building them, I often wonder how much
folks will appreciate the effort that goes into hand making one of
these.....
Many thanks again - it gives me impetus to
continue......

Hai,Mr. Ledermann
Last Friday I received the new SMMC20CL+, and I'm
very pleased. The sound is very good; it's much better then the
MMC20EN which I used before. Only the model was a bit different than
what I expected, I'm getting used to it.
Thanks very much, I will recommend your name to
everyone who wants to know.
Greatings, René Stam - Netherlands.
